Youth Awareness - Hanna Beer - 3rd Place in Western PA Program
Hanna Beer took 3rd place in the Western PA Youth Awareness Program. She then traveled to Gettysburg, PA for the International Student Congress, with other winners. The winners received a Scholarship from the PMA (Pennsylvania Moose Assoc.) for their hard work and dedication to the YA Program.
The Youth Awareness Program - is high school students in grades 9th thru 12th with the goal of educating preschool and elementary school aged children on a variety of topics, including drug and alcohol abuse, child abuse, “stranger danger”, bullying, peer pressure, good sportsmanship and healthy habits & nutrition.
Dixonville Moose Family Center will be giving both Hanna Beer and Laken Ryen a Scholarship for participating in the YA Program. They both did an excellent job! We all are very proud of these young ladies for taking the time to help make a difference in many young children’s lives!

Heard of Moose?

Dixonville Moose is part of Moose International, it is a private organization of 1.5 million men and women in four nations dedicated to bettering the lives of children and elderly in need. Our goal is to help make our local and international communities better places to live and raise families, and to providing wholesome family recreation at modest cost.

MOOSEHEART is a residential childcare facility, located near Chicago. The “Child City” is a home for children and teens in need, from infancy through high school.
Here, each child receives love, an education and also learns a trade. This has lessened the impact such incidents have had on thousands of children who have called Mooseheart home.
At special events we have a collection after the “9:00 Ceremony” which provides significant financial assistance for Mooseheart.

MOOSEHAVEN is located in Orange Park, FL. Moosehaven has provided thousands of Moose members and their spouses with secure and active retirement living. Moosehaven residents reside in their beautiful community without the burden of home maintenance and responsibilities or worries of future health care.

COMMUNITY SERVICE: The men and women of the Moose have proudly sponsored Mooseheart, Moosehaven, Local School Activities, Local Fire Departments., Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Youth Awareness, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, VA Medical Facility, D.A.R.E., Flight #93, Safe Surfin’, Special Olympics, Meals on Wheels, Local Volunteer Services, to many more to list. The community service has been an ever growing portion of the Moose Fraternal Program.

Never Pay Dues Again!
Just bring in 2 new members a year and your dues are paid.

The Officers and Members of the Dixonville Moose Lodge welcome you into our Moose Family and hope your membership will be a rewarding experience. Not just for you, but for other members of your family.

As you can see, Dixonville Moose is a club – not a bar. We have a Social Quarters which gives you the opportunity to broaden your circle of friends with others who share your values and interests within your Community.

We pride ourselves on being the Friendliest Place in Town, and seek to provide a place where friends can meet in social interactions, and in a pleasant environment.

The Moose caters to every member of your family, and as you can see we have outlined just some of the activities that we invite you to participate in.

There are many in-house activities within the Lodge. Dances, Traditional Events, Kids Events and much, much more. Since we can not list them all, we recommend you use the Lodge Newsletter, Calendar and Posters, which detail all the activities your family can take part in. You can sign up for the Newsletter by sending an email to Dixonvillemoose@yahoo.com

If however, you have a particular interest which the lodge does not cater to, we would like to know about it, and if its practical, we will seek to find a way to provide it. Many of the current Lodge activities came about in just that manner. Just present your request at the House Committee Meeting every 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the Month at 7:30 PM.

There are also other competitive activities such as pool leagues for men and women. We have two indoor horseshoe pits for your use at any time and also have a horseshoe league in the winter season.

Volunteers are the back-bone of our Moose. They are unsung heroes who are willing to share their time, talents, and energy to help make our events happen. The events are more successful when more members are involved. Ask an officer to see how you can help.

It is our belief that we are SECOND TO NONE! We are proud of our heritage and our dedication to bettering the lives of children and elderly.
